Alyssa is a Certified Internal Auditor, she was graduated with Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Finance) from Charles Sturt University, Australia. She is a Chartered Member of IIA, a member of CPA Australia as well as a Chartered Accountant (M). She received the ESG CERTIFICATE: INTERNAL AUDITING FOR SUSTAINABLE ORGANIZATIONS (Developed by Global IIA) in 2024.
She has more than 10 years of experience in internal and external auditing as well as risk management. She was previously attached to several public listed companies as the acting head of internal audit and risk management function. Prior to joining public listed companies, she was attached with “Big Four” accounting firm i.e. Deloitte Enterprise Risk Services Sdn Bhd and Deloitte Kassim Chan as an auditor. She had attended “Performing an Effective Quality Assessment” training conducted by The IIA Malaysia in November 2017.
She has been conducting several Townhall such as “Messaging on The Proposed Global Internal Audit Standards - What Do You Need to Know”, Get To Know The Global Internal Audit Standards and What The New Standards Mean To Quality Assessments? She has been performing the external quality assessment review for the internal audit function of the IIA Malaysia’s portfolio since 2017. She had participated and contributed as a task force member in IIAM’s initiative to enhance the Internal Audit role in listed companies in Malaysia and publication of FAQ Internal Review of Sustainability Statement by Internal Auditors.
